Volunteers make wooden pens for troops

PARKERSBURG - More than 12,000 Combined States armed forces members actively deployed overseas will have a little warmer Christmas after they received handmade pens from Woodcraft volunteers.

The handcrafted oafish pens were created at Woodcraft stores nationwide by woodworkers and volunteers during the annual Withdraw for Troops National handmade pen turn-a-thon during Veteran's Day weekend, said Lori Milner, marketing superintendent for the Parkersburg-based company.
