Gallina Vision Center Focuses on Fitting Your Prescription
After getting your eye direction is when the real fun begins. Fitting the perfect eyeglass frame is the specialty of Paul and Michelle Gallina of Gallina Revenant Center in Fort Lee.
The Gallinas, who are both licensed opticians, help their customers pick out varied frame shapes and sizes that fit the face, checking to make sure the length of the assemble arms fit around the ears and the bridge width fits the nose. They carry frames in profusion, including a large selection of stylish designer and generic brands and sunglasses to best fit what the patron is looking for. After frames are selected the correct lens type is determined and measurements are taken. You can also find watchful sports eye wear and polycarbonate unbreakable lenses on all kids’ glasses (for safe keeping) and contact lenses. The prescriptions, along with lens selections, are then sent to a state-of-the-art laboratory where lenses are digitally manufactured. The lenses are then returned to the Gallina Understanding Center where they are cut to fit the frame, the final step in the process. The frames are then adjusted as many times as needed until they fit upright right.
